Super Mario

For this project, I wanted to create a scene showing Mario and the first foe he encountered in the original Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo EAD, 1985): Goomba. The blue-red suit is undoubtedly the most iconic suit worn by Mario since his first appearance in Donkey Kong (Nintendo R&D1, 1981), even if it took some games to become a standard. It is easily recognizable at the first glance by both players and non-players. It is also my favorite one! Thus, I chose to represent my Mario with his most iconic suit instead of using the red-white one that he usually wears when he gets a fire flower. This representation is not canonical in the Super Mario series but it is still consistent with other versions of Mario like in the Super Smash Bros. and Mario & Luigi series for instance. After all, in Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo EPD, 2017), Mario can throw fireballs after having captured a Fire Bro, which was not so canonical in the Super Mario series until that. Nevertheless, I still decided to create alternate versions of the scene more faithful with the Super Mario series: one version with Mario wearing his red-white suit and preparing his fireball and another version with Mario wearing his blue-red one while chasing the Goomba.
